About Get Off Our Ass
First and foremost, that just because I might oppose certain political ideologies, does not necessarily mean that I support any others. I oppose with every ounce of my being the dramatic expansion that’s been taking place in our government, and yes I oppose the Democrats that are responsible…
… but that does not mean that I support the Republicans that have expanded government for the last 8 years.
The only thing that bothers me more than the fact that the Democrats are doing everything in their power to take over every aspect of my life… is that there is nothing on ‘the other side’ to support. There is plenty out there to oppose, but I have yet to see anyone stand up and voice a clear coherent platform that I can get behind and cheer for.
I’m not a professional political pundit… I’m not a paid for protester. I’m a simple American. I’m a veteran of the United States Army. I’m a father and husband. I’m a Christian.
All I want from my government is to be left alone to work and take care of my family, and when I have done that, then I’ll work to help out my neighbor… that’s the American way.
But, it seems that every day our ‘rulers’ in Washington DC, and State Houses across the country make that harder and harder. For one, they make it harder to take care of myself and my family… and they are constantly striving to drive wedges between me and my neighbors… black wedges, white wedges, gay wedges, straight wedges, rich wedges and poor wedges… and it’s getting to the point where I not only do I lack the desire to help them… but I’d actually kinda like to see some of them fall off the coasts… either coast… and to never hear from many of them again.
So, long story short… My name is Brad. I want the government to quit turning one American against another and GET OFF OUR ASS.
